News and Events

Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the university's precautionary restrictions on in-person events, we are postponing all scheduled April 2020 events. We plan to reschedule the Immigration Reading Group and Film Series for the Fall 2020 semester, and are actively working on rescheduling the Making African America symposium for Spring 2021. We thank you for your understanding!

In conjunction with our upcoming symposium, Making African America, check out our newly curated collection of African and African Diaspora Immigrant Oral Histories on the Archive of Immigrant Voices.
